Here’s the latest update on #Suriya41. The Bala directorial, which went on floors earlier this year, has been titled Vanangaan. Taking to Twitter, Suriya shared the first-look poster of the film, and wrote, “Ungaludan meendum inaindhadhil perumaghizhchi! Pirandhanal Vaazhthukkal anna…! #DirBala #Vanangaan.” The actor also wished Bala, who is celebrating his birthday today, through his tweet.
Initially, the makers shared an image of the sea and announced that they have an important update to share about #Suriya41. Later in the evening, they released the title and Suriya’s look in the film. In the poster, the actor can be seen dressed in a vest, sporting beads around his neck. He also has a moustache and a beard, and is looking sideward, with much intensity in his eyes. The actor’s face is half hidden in what seems like a fishing net.
Interestingly, in May, there were rumours that the film was dropped after Suriya and Bala had a major clash on set. However, Suriya took to his social media and shared a picture of them and wrote, “Waiting to be back on sets…!! #Suriya41 (sic)”, putting the rumour to rest.
The film, which has Suriya playing a hearing and speech impaired person, also stars Uppena girl Krithi Shetty and Mollywood actress Mamitha Baiju. The film went on floors with a poojai in end-March in Kanyakumari. This is the third film that Suriya will be doing under Bala’s direction, after Nandha and Pithamagan.
