1. IRUL – NETFLIX

Based on Marathi film Happy Journey, Anjali Menon’s Koode is an emotional rollercoaster ride that tugs at your heartstrings. After years of working in Dubai, Joshua returns for his sister Jenny’s funeral. He starts seeing his sister’s spirit who teaches him to find happiness in small things.
The movie revolves around the brother and sister’s relationship but also finds another emotional anchor in Sophie, Joshua’s childhood crush. Koode is true to its emotion; is warm, fuzzy and stays with you long after it ends.

Starring Dulquer Salmaan and National Film Award winners Suresh Gopi and Shobana, Varane Avashyamund is filled with endearing moments, making it a wonderful family watch. Set in the city of Chennai, a single mother and her daughter, are looking to get hitched only through an arranged marriage.
Their lives take a major turn when a retired Major Unnikrishnan and a youngster move into their apartment complex. The 145-minute feature film by Anoop Sathyan is packed with moments that will keep a constant smile on your face throughout.
